Simply thorough: optimum results with electropolishing
Electropolishing makes it possible to thoroughly clean surfaces without any mechanical or thermal stresses. An electrochemical machining process with an external power source removes paint, grease and adhesive residues without a trace. Microcracks, structure breakdowns and individual stresses are eliminated so that the optimum properties of the basic material come to the fore.
Large electropolishing station
Our plant offers an electropolishing station with a large polishing tank, double rinsing tank, passivating tank and standing basin. The temperature can be controlled up to 80 °C. Polishing electrolyte and passivation are adapted for processing stainless steels. There is also the option of alkaline degreasing before the polishing process at VP Metall.
